I have been bombarded with OLX ads on TV. Wives seem to be selling stuff in their house in order to buy new, bigger and better stuff - cars, mobiles and what have you. So nice... And after some time, the stuff that they bought now will become old - then they will sell that too... Yes, in OLX.
Selling some old stuff once is fine.. But if you use the money to buy some more stuff and this goes on... the husband would end up being a lakhpati, if he was a crorepati initially/
They say you get best price when you sell your stuff in OLX. This is the best place for sellers. They get maximum price for their stuff.
What about buyers? What is the best place for buyers to buy stuff from? Quikr?
Couple of months back I ordered a shoe stand for about Rs 500 from Rediff shopping online. The stand looked nice, they had posted nice pictures. Few days later when the product was delivered, I found that the stand was broken. And it was made really shoddily. It took two weeks for them to answer my mails. They asked me to send a photo of the broken part which I sent. I waited for a few days, sent them a reminder. They asked me to send a photo of the broken part. This ritual happened a couple of times or more. They finally said they will send a replacement and that I had to pack and send it again.
I asked them to take the shoe stand and return my money.. They are yet to respond. Way to go Rediff....
Seems like online shopping is great in India .... for sellers. Caveat Emptor (Buyers beware).
And finally, If the Bansals want to sell Flipkart, will they sell it on OLX or Quikr?
