Homemakers

My husband makes way more than me, it didn't make sense for me to work the same amount of hours and be super stressed while barely contributing. I'm now free to pursue my own interests and focus on my mental health."

Boy And Girl - In Park

After a long time I found something interesting to write about.

I saw the boy and the girl swinging. The girl seemed to be from the lower middle class and the boy from middle class. The girl came alone, got on the swing by herself and was swinging with enthusiasm while the boy came with an elderly gentleman, probably his grandfather. He was more careful, swinging slowly, hesitant in his actions.

The two children were so different. The boy wanted a controlled, comfortable environment and safety. The girl created what she wanted by herself. They were both about 5.

So interesting to see differences in behavioral traits visible even in such a young age. I couldn't help but wonder what these two kids will be like 30 years hence.

Disclosure - Michael Crichton

Review from:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disclosure_(novel)#Summary

"In a review comparing the novel with the film adaptation, Nathan Rabin expressed a negative view: he described Disclosure as "loathsome" and "borderline-unreadable", and inferior to its film version.[5] Rabin also criticized the novel's characterization: "Not since Atlas Shrugged has a novelist strayed so egregiously from plausible human behavior in dogged pursuit of making a muddled ideological point".[5]"

What's There In An (Extra) Name

There are two twins in my apartment complex. Today they were cycling.

They look identical, have the same height and their names are almost identical. One is Advita and the other is ... I forgot. Something very close to Advita.

I met them and told them that they have the same look are equally tall, have similar bicycles, dress the same way, they should have the same name TOO. They looked at each other and then pointed out the obvious flaw. Advita said to me "if our mother calls us then we will BOTH have to run to her, if we have the same name."

I asked them. Does their mother EVER have the need to call ONLY ONE of them for anything? Maybe for dinner or to buy a badminton racquet or colouring pencil? The two girls slowly shook their head. They said their mother always calls both of them.

I pointed out to them. "WHY DO YOU THEN NEED TWO DIFFERENT NAMES?. You are wasting one name." I suggested that they talk to their mother and get rid of one name and use the other for both of them.

I am waiting to see what their mother has to say about my suggestion.
